A warm Borders welcome, since the first carriages came through.
A listed 18th-century coaching inn at the heart of Newcastleton - rooms, dining and a fine selection of whisky.
Welcome
Welcome to The Grapes
The Grapes Hotel sits in Newcastleton in the heart of the Liddesdale Valley, which was once known as the bloodiest in Scotland due to its connections with the fighting clans of the Border Reivers.
The Grapes Hotel was the first coaching inn in a village laid out for the Duke of Buccleuch in the late 18th century. Today it remains the heart of Douglas Square, known for excellent food, comfortable accommodation and the kind of unhurried Scottish hospitality that keeps people coming back. Free parking, free wi-fi throughout and a welcome that's as warm as the fireside.
